Filthy Little Pretties by Trilina Pucci | REVIEW!!!
Synopsis:
Donovan Kennedy is the girl dreams are made of.
Five years ago, she was our best friend.
Our moral compass.
The girl that held our hands everywhere we went.
The three of us were young. Innocent.
Nothing could touch us-- not even heartache.
That was then.
Now she's back. All grown up.
With red lips and long legs-- a challenge waiting to be accepted. A prize that'll turn our world upside down.
Brothers turned to enemies.
Friendships decimated.
Lies told.
Hearts torn apart.
We never expected to fall for the girl.
In the end, she'll only choose one-- Me.
About the Author:
Trilina is an author, wife, and mama to three rowdy kiddos. When she isn't making grilled cheese sandwiches, she can be found writing saucy novels that titillate and excite her readers.
My Review:
The best way to describe Filthy Little Pretties is Prepp School/Bully Romance. It is about three best friends torn apart and brought back together for their last year of high school. But with high school comes with drama. Love sick puppies, raging hormones and bitching step-sisters.
Donovan, Grey and Liam have been best friends their whole lives. Donovan moves way when she is twelve after her parents divorce. Fast forward five years, entering her senior year of high school, she moves back with her father. In those five years she has experienced life like no teen should. The last thing she wanted was drama. Upon arriving at her new school for the first day of senior year, she never expects to run into her best friends, Grey and Liam.
I really enjoyed this book. The last half, WOW! The drama hit the fan and flipping fast! It was a total 180. But, I did have a couple things I would have liked to have seen more in the first half. The book started out strong, there is a wicked hot scene *fans face* that I still cannot stop thinking about. But... then it kind of fell off just a bit. It was a little slow going after that one scene up until we were a little past half way.
Donovan talks a lot about how she loves them both and they talk about when they were young a lot. They bring up some memories from when they were twelve. I think in the first half of the book it would have been awesome to have a few flashback chapters. I would have loved to have a little more incite to when they were twelve and when Donovan realized she loved with both of them. The second half was amazing. Everything hit the fan so fast and hard! I loved it!
With that said, I really enjoyed this book. I don't think there is anything Trilina would write that I wouldn't love. This book is very different from her others, I think she did very well. She is an author who can write in different sub-genre's, I love it!
4 Owls!
