Kiss Me Not by Emma Hart | REVIEW!!!!

 Synopsis:

What do you do when you're the reigning kissing booth champion but the only person you want to kiss is your best friend's brother?

Let me make this clear right here, right now: I, Halley Dawson, do not care that Preston Wright is kissing other women.
Not a lick. Not at all. Nuh-uh-freakin'-uh.
I do care that he's doing it six feet away from me behind a gaudy velvet curtain-- making him my competition in this year's kissing contest.
Why do I care, you ask? Because I've had an unfortunate crush on the insufferable idiot since I was sixteen years old, but I also know it's never going to happen.
He's the Creek Falls bachelor to die for, and I'm the Creek Falls racoon lady who puts peanut butter sandwiches out for them every night.
I'm not going to let him break my four-year-long reign-- no matter how many times he breaks the rules and slides the curtain across to do the one thing he's not allowed to:

Kiss me.

Review:

This was a highly anticipated book from Emma Hart for me and it did not disappoint. I have been happy with the last couple releases from Emma.

This was such a cute, fast read. It is all about friends and family and a small town county fair and a kissing booth! It was so cute. This book runs along the line of a second chance romance. The best friends brother. Some people don't like that trope. If done the right way it isn't bad and in this book, it was done the right way.

The main characters had feeling for each other and had for a while but played it down for a while to spare the feelings they might hurt of their friends and family. But the friends and family pushed them together, already knowing they had deep feelings for each other.

This is not an erotic book, it is a rom-com and I loved it. My only reason for giving it four stars is because I felt like the ending was a little rushed and it just ended. I kind of wanted more from these characters. Maybe one sex scene... we really don't get that when I wish we did. Also just to see how they handle the transition from friends to lovers. But other than that, I loved these characters, I loved their banter and I know we will be seeing more of these characters in upcoming books in this series.

Four Owls!
