Discussion: Where Did the Summer Go?

Hello everyone, Ashlee here, it's been a while!

I can finally say that we have some new reviews posted to the blog, FINALLY! If you are interested to see what I have been reading, check out the reviews posted below.

Is it just me or did the summer fly by? It did, and not just because I worked six days a week pretty much all summer. But I do have to say we have had a few days where it has cooled down and it feels amazing. Massachusetts tends to have very hot, humid summers, so when fall approaches, it feels nice.

So, I have had a few ask where we have been this summer. I worked the summer away. As much as I did read, I fell behind on posting here because I just didn't have time and when I did, I just didn't want to, I wanted to spend that time with my husband. It sounds bad, but this is the only place I really didn't post. I reviewed books all summer, I talked about them on Instagram, I posted my reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. So no matter what, you can always keep up to date on the happens on those platforms.

Pretty much the same thing that happened to Amber this summer. She works two jobs! She dealt with that all summer and had family things she was dealing with as well. But we are both here and ready to make a dent. No matter what happens in our lives, we talk just about every day and when we were both busy, I don't think we went more than two days without talking to each other. Even if it was to just to check to make sure we were both still alive!

I have also made a few new friends this summer. I love when Bookstagram brings people together. I talk a lot with Colby from ColbyzBooks, Amy from Ms.Amy.Lynn and Melissa from CorruptedBySmut. I love talking to these people! Can't forget about Amanda from Onceupon_a_Bookdream who has been with Amber and I for a couple years now.

I just wanted to come on here and talk. It was a bit of a crazy summer and I can guarantee there will be some hectic times come winter, especially for the company I work for. But no matter what, my reading will not stop, it might slow down, but it will never stop. Don't forget to check up on us on all social media platforms to keep up to date.
