Synopsis:

"You can put that man in a suit, but he'll never be tame."
One look at Jericho Forge and I knew the rumors were true. He was a predator, and he had set his sights on me.
I knew better than to bet more than I could afford to lose that night. I knew better than to bet myself. But desperation leads to bad decisions, and I thought there was no way I could lose.
I was wrong.
Now I have no choice but to make a deal with the devil.

About the Author:

A New York Times, #1 Wall Street Journal, and USA Today Bestselling author of over twenty novels, Meghan March has been known to wear camo face print and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She's also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she's ever had.

My Review:

I received this book in audio form and let me tell you, I loved it!

Once I started listening to this book I couldn't stop. It is addicting because you just want to know what is going to happen next. This is a rom-com. It is a romance suspense with a serious twist that you don't see it coming.

Jericho is an alpha, no exaggerating there and Indy is a sassy piece that likes to push right back at him. They are both extreme poker players and when a game goes sour, all hell breaks loose.

This was a fast listen. I finished it in one sitting and it leaves you on a cliffhanger, so I was a little frustrated. But damn, you don't know what to think or believe and that ending, I did not see it coming. But I am giving it a four because there are moments when you know he is lying and Indy falls for it. She falls under his spell then you get to that ending and it's like whoa!

There is a lot more that happens but hello, spoilers. I am just going to tell you all that you just need to go read this. I can't wait for book two and if I'm being honest, I want to continue listening. I love the narrators and what they bring to the audio.
