Synopsis:

Don't sleep with your best friend.
Take it from me. I did it. And it was awful.
I-wish-the-tequila-made-me-forget kind of bad.
The problem is, Luke has forgotten. He swears that he can't remember a thing about that night beyond the trays of tequila shots being set on the tables.
Except I can't forget. I can't forget how good his hands felt until I fell over and hit my hip on the dresser, and I sure as hell can't forget the entire two minutes of tap-tap-squirt.
Awkward. Embarrassing. And the new subject of a couple of dirty lucid dreams.
But I have no intention of telling him what we did. Nothing good comes from telling your best friend he's the worst guy you've ever slept with.
Which makes the tequila on my birthday a very, very bad idea...

About Emma:

Emma Hart is the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author of over thirty novels and has been translated into several different languages.

She is a mother, wife, lover of wine, Pink Goddess, and valiant rescuer of wild baby hedgehogs.

Emma prides herself on her realistic, snarky smut, with comebacks that would make a PMS-ing teenage girl proud.

Yes, really. She's that sarcastic.

My Review:

I have read a good handful of Emma Hart books this year. I have pretty much enjoyed them all... giving them four stars. This will be the first one I have read all year that I did not love. It had some laugh out loud moments but the main female, Aspen, got on my nerves. She reminded me a lot of the main female in Four Day Fling. She was kind of annoying at times.

Luke was amazing, I loved him and his family. Okay, maybe it was a little embarrassing for him at the beginning, but we all know that isn't the real him. But he proves himself over and over again to Aspen and she still pushes him away.

It's another concept of the boy and the girl being best friends for so many years but then starting to develop more than just friends feelings. I can see how she is hesitant but Luke proves himself time and time again, even her friends are all for her and Luke being together and her best girlfriend tries to open her eyes. But she won't give in even when she knows he is what and who she really wants.

It was kind of annoying. I also didn't care for how the main characters always blamed their poor actions on the tequila. I get that that is what the whole book is about... but still. They are 25 years old, not 18, not even 21. After a while it becomes overkill. So, after I thought of all these problems I had with this book, I decided it deserved a three star. I did enjoy parts of it, again, Luke and his grandmother, I love his grandmother and his family!
