Synopsis:
If anyone asks, I knew better than to flash my boobs for Mardi Gras beads.
I still don't know why I did it.
Maybe it was the dare from my two best friends.
Maybe it was the guys on the balcony saying they'd throw Fireball shots with the beads.
Or maybe it was the quite guy in the corner of that same balcony with piercing gray eyes, wavy dark hair, and a smile so tempting I wanted to climb up there and lick it off his face.
Maybe it was because I never thought I'd see them again.
Not that it matters. Not today.
Because the hotel I manage was finally bought-- and the guy who walks in and introduced himself as my new books is Mr. Tall, Dark, and Silent.
There are many upsides to being single.
Your new boss knowing what your boobs look like?
Not one of them.

My Review:
I read this book for something light and fluffy, after reading the extremely emotional Blind Kiss. It was an excellent choice. I gave me what I needed after my last read. It was super cute and funny. Jake is a perfect gentlemen. Mellie is exactly what any women nowadays is like. She meets Jacob on a funny dare from her friends but she didn't expect to see him walk into her office at work the next day.
They had a lot of tension between them right off the bat, partly because he knew what her boobs looked like under her top... But they had a connection, lust than ran deeper than just because he saw her boobs. It wasn't insta love but they no doubt had some serious vibes going on. They tried to hide them as much as possible because of their work situation but when you are seriously attracted to someone, that makes it hard.
I love how they didn't rush into things. The friends were funny and a great balance. It is a fast read, I read it in two days. I do have to knock off a star because I honestly hate the ending. Nothing was resolved. Their relationship still had a question mark on it. But there are two more books that follow this one, so I hope we find out what happens with Jake and Mellie. I have no doubt they will also be funny. Her friends and what they do for work, just wait and see when you decide to read this book... which I hope is soon!
