Synopsis:
Imagine this.
You're ready to leave after a one-night stand, and you're figuring out how to-- shock horror-- leave your number and ask him to be your fake boyfriend for your sister's wedding this weekend.
When he wakes up.
Well, that happened to me. And over coffee and omelets, I found myself a date.
Which was how I ended up arriving at the wedding with a guy I knew nothing about.
I didn't know his last name, or how we met, or how long we'd been dating. I didn't know where he grew up, what he'd majored in in college, or how man siblings he had.
I sure as hell didn't know he was Adam Winters, hotshot hockey player-- and not only my father's favorite player, but my little nephew's freakin' idol.
Which means I'm in trouble. Big, big trouble.
My mother is suspicious, my sister is bridezilla on crack, and my grandpa will tell anyone who'll listen about his time in Amsterdam's Red Light District.
Four days.
I have to keep this up for four days, and then Adam and I can return to our regular lives, where we don't have sex whenever we're alone and my family aren't interrogating him over his intentions with me.
At least, that's the plan.
And we all know what happens to those.

My Review:
Amazon
I read this book in less than three days, that's how much invested and how much it grabbed my attention. It really starts out with a bang. From the first chapter, it hooks you. I couldn't stop because I just had to know what was going to happen next.
Adam Winters is not an alpha male, which is a nice change of pace. He is just a normal (well, not so normal) but he just lives his life, does what he wants and loves what he does. He lives by his own rules and when Poppy comes into his life and propositions him, he finds it hard to say no to her. Something about her drags him in, maybe it's her no bullshit attitude and her fiery red hair.
Poppy is so stuck in some of her own ways, that Adam likes to push her limits, making her step out of her of comfort zone. As I was reading, my only complaint was is that I found Poppy to be a but annoying at times when it came to her family that made her a bit immature. She was also a bit bitchy at times to Adam due to family drama. For that I did knock a star off, there were a few chapters in a row that I wanted to whack her but that did not stop me from loving this book.
I liked Poppy, she was cool but Adam made the story. He knew what he wanted and went for it and he liked to push Poppy, made her see the bigger picture when it was needed. She was very dramatic at the end and it kind of drove me crazy. She knew what she wanted and what she felt was real but still tried to push him away. I was so happy when he was like enough, this is happening.
This was a cute, fast paced, easy read story that I don't deny anyone will love.
4 Owls!
