Arrogant Devil by RS Grey | REVIEW!

Synopsis:

Everyone in Cedar Creek, Texas knows Jack McNight is an arrogant devil. Physically, I get it: he's tan and fit, with coal-black hair that's clearly been scorched by hellfire. Oh, and his personality? It burns just as hot.

When I show up on the doorstep of Blue Stone Ranch, I'm run-down and rockin' my last pair of underwear. I'm hoping for a savior, but instead, I find him.

My opinion of Jack is marred by a dismal first impression, but his opinion of me is tainted even before I arrive. He's heard I'm a spoiled princess there to take advantage of his goodwill. To him, I'm more trouble than I'm worth.

Our button-pushing banter should get under my skin. His arrogance should be a major turn-off. Problem is, devils are known to offer their own form of temptation.

Every one of his steely glares sends a shiver down my spine.

Every steamy encounter leaves me reeling.

Sure, it could be the Texas heat messing with my head, but there's no way I'll survive the summer without silencing him with a kiss and wrestling him out of those Wranglers.

Who knows... going to bed with the devil might just be the salvation I've been looking for all along.

My Review:

Jack... Jacky boy, I loved him. He is the true definition of an arrogant devil. But about halfway through, just before maybe, you understand why. This story starts off with Meredith leaving her abusive husband, Andrew. Helen, her half-sister, she puts all these lies in Jack's head about Meredith and it pisses me off! So when Meredith shows up at Blue Stone Ranch, looking for a job, Jack is a complete dick to her, but all of this is brought on from Helen filling Jack's head with lies.

**When you really don't like a character and you go to your desk at 11pm to jot down notes!**

Edith! She is an amazing supporting character! I freaking love her. She can see clear as day that Meredith hasn't had it easy. She knows that when she shows up at Blue Stone Ranch for a serious reason, even though she doesn't know what for at the beginning. She takes Meredith under her wing and seriously gives her back her confidence to soar on her own again.

I am giving Meredith and Jack 4 stars. You have the usual HEA, which is what we all really want. That's what romance is all about. RS Grey is a queen at the tension building! She really knows how to let that lady part burn. Just warning you now, the tension will drive you crazy, but a good kind of crazy! Even though everything wraps up nicely, I feel it was a little rushed and a little anticlimactic. I hoped after all that tension building for just a little bit more, I just feel like there was something missing. Don't get me wrong, I freaking adore these characters, but the ending did seem a little rushed, even though it wasn't suppose to seem like that.

It is a cute story, Jack is sexy devil and the tension building is amazing!
