Caged by Clarissa Wild | REVIEW!
Synopsis:
They call me savage. An untamed beast.
I was born in the cage. Born to fight. Born to carry its name.
Locked away, I've spent years waiting for my mate.
I'm pent up with need. Brimming with desire.
All I want is her... That beautiful girl from the picture on my prison wall.
Now she's finally here, sharing a cell.
So close. So hard to resist.
But one thing's for sure...
Even if she doesn't know it yet, she's already mine.

My Review:
So, I am here to be honest... this was not my favorite by Clarissa Wild. That hurt's to say that because it is the first time I have EVER said that. Caged, it reminded me too much of a few other books I have read, one of them being a Clarissa Wild book. As I was reading, I kept thinking in the back of my head, 'You've read this before.'
I really didn't like the characters. Just, it didn't make much sense. Who gets kidnapped and does nothing about it? Just stays in this glass cage for inbreeding. Who does that? I'd be trying to escape, but yet this chick falls in love instead!
I got pretty bored as well. It didn't hold my interest for that long, I found it very unrealistic. Most dark romance books like this are but at least the main female character fought back, at least they tried to escape, Ella didn't do anything. She tried to run once but she didn't get far. It took me a really long time to finish this book. I couldn't find my place in it. It didn't grab me, hold me like I'd wished.
The ending... I am going to tell you there is a huge plot twist at the end. It helped make up a little for the rest of the book. It did leave me wanting to know what was going to happen. I am going to read the sequel, Uncaged, which I already have waiting for me, but not just yet. I am going to read something else then go back. I need a little break from these books right now, but I will read book two soon.
I usually love everything by Clarissa Wild, I've read her other dark romances, this one just fell really short for me. But don't get me wrong, that won't stop me from reading her other books. I love this author, but this one just wasn't for me.
