My Current ARC List | May. 2017

Summer is on it's way, even though the weather here has been so weird, but warmer days are to come. New releases are big right now, there are a lot of new great books getting ready for publication, whether they are self-published or tradition. But today I will be going over books I have received from self-publishing authors for review. These are books that all release this month, so basically I will be sharing my ARC TBR for the this month.

Current: Love Me in the Dark by Mia Asher

My current read is highly anticipated by many, Love Me in the Dark by Mia Asher, which just released this Wednesday. I'm about 25% in and loving it. Mia Asher knows how to pull at the heartstrings, I have a feeling this book is going to wreck me, and seriously, can we just really appreciate this cover!

Synopsis:

Two strangers in Paris...
One passionate, earth-shattering kiss.

He was the artist upstairs
with the tantalizing smile and laughing eyes.

He was the devil inviting me to sin,
seducing me to dance in the bright moonlight.

He was desire and need.

When he touched me, my body sang.
My soul came alive.

But I belonged to another man,
and he didn't want to let me go.

Next: Fix Her Up by Carey Heywood

Next, I plan on reading my advanced copy of the upcoming release of Fix Her Up by Carey Heywood, releasing May. 25th. This is going to be the perfect read after Love Me in the Dark, it's going to be funny and a little more lighthearted.

Synopsis:

If Finley Reeves is an expert at anything, it's making mistakes. She proved this true by falling for and marrying the wrong man. Ten years later all she has to show for it is a divorce... and a broken heart.

Needing not only to get away, but also to start over somewhere new, she buys a fixer upper that's one step away from being condemned. Deciding to tackle this project alone might be her biggest mistake of all.

That is, until Noah Thompson shows up at her front door like a knight in a shining tool belt. Determined she doesn't need any help, she pushes him away until he makes her an offer she'd be crazy to refuse.

Third: Loving Jade by Roya Carmen

Just the other morning I received a copy of Loving Jade by Roya Carmen, the third book in the Riverstone Estates series. I love these books and have reviewed the first two books, so I look forward to returning to this series. If you think this series is anything like her Ground Rules series, think again, these books are totally on different ends of the spectrum. Releasing May. 25th.

Synopsis:

I never thought I'd be able to leave Michael, but I finally worked up the courage. I'm not sure where I'm heading but I feel safe here with the Riverstones. This place is lovely and serene. There is so much beauty and love here.

Yet, I still don't feel free- I know Michael will find me. It's just a matter of time.

Love is the last thing I'm looking for, but Flynn is such a beautiful man, inside and out. He makes me believe that I can be stronger, that I can be fierce. He believes he can fix me with equine therapy but he has no clue how much damage has been done.

Yet, somehow, he manages to get through to me. With patience, love and understanding, he slowly peels off the hard layers of self-doubt and fear that have held me captive all these years.

Just as I finally start to get stronger, Michael tracks me down and sends us all into turmoil, and threatens not only me but the family I've come to love.

Fourth: When It's Real by Erin Watt

I was so lucky to have received an early copy of one of my most anticipated reads of the year, When It's Real by Erin Watt. I know a lot of people are chomping at the bits for this one, it's been a long wait for many of us. But if you weren't as lucky as I, you can pick When It's Real up on May. 30th.

Synopsis:

Under ordinary circumstances, Oakley Ford and Vaughn Bennett would never even cross paths.

There's nothing ordinary about Oakley. This bad-boy pop star's got Grammy Awards, millions of fangirls and a reputation as a restless, too-charming troublemaker. But with his home life disintegrating, his music well suddenly running dry and the tabloids having a field day over his outrageous exploits, Oakley needs to show the world he's settling down- and who better to help him than Vaughn, a part-time waitress trying to help her family get by? The very definition of ordinary.

Posing as his girlfriend, Vaughn will overhaul Oakley's image from troublemaker to serious artist. In return for enough money to put her brothers through college, she can endure outlandish Hollywood parties and carefully orchestrated Twitter exchanges. She'll fool the paparazzi and the groupies. She might even start fooling herself a little.

Because when ordinary rules no longer apply, there's no telling what your heart will do...

Last: Nudes by Sarah Robinson

Last but not least, I can't forget about my Sarah Robinson. I received an ARC of her upcoming release, Nudes, which early reviews are coming in like hotcakes! Nudes is releasing May. 22nd.

Synopsis:

Ben Lawson is making a comeback...
After a few tabloid headlines, they think they know me. They don't know a damn thing. As CEO of a movie production company, I'll show them who I really am when we hit it big at the box office. My ex thought her smear tactics would ruin me, but I'm unbreakable. Rising from the debris, I swore I'd never let a woman distract me like that again. But then, my leading actress walked on the set and changed everything.

Seductive, sexy, and unapologetic, Aria Rose could break me. I wanted to help her, protect her... love her. Instead, I destroyed her.

Aria Rose is baring it all...
I knew better. I knew not to trust another Hollywood heartthrob with a reputation like his. He was my boss and became my ruin. I should have stayed far away from him. Ben Lawson promised me the world. He even promised me his heart.

But he destroyed everything-- my heart, my career, us.

*As I am sitting here, in Starbucks, getting ready to publish this post, I just received an email from a brand new author looking for reviews for her first book. I have seen it around my Instagram. So I might be adding one more to my May list, which just seems to be endlessly growing!*
