What I'm Currently Reading | March. 2017
Last weekend I posted three reviews! THREE! So now I am on a new cycle of reads. Two are for review and one is for my own reading pleasure and I am taking my time reading.
I first started This is Love by Kennedy Fox. I blew through This is War and freaking LOVED it! So I started This is Love almost right away! I am loving it! I just flipping love Travis!
Synopsis:
Viola Fisher is the epitome of perfection.
She despises my one-night stands and mocks my less-than-classy habits.
She's smart, beautiful, and too good to be true.
And I want her.
If she were anyone else, I'd have made my move years ago, but considering she's my best friend's little sister, she's always been off-limits. Not to mention how much she loathes my very existence.
Hating me is her religion, but needing her is mine. Her sexy curves and filthy smart mouth make me want her even more, and I'm more determined than ever to change her mind.
I'll prove I'm done playing games.
But until then, we'll continue to play by her rules.
Viola Fisher may have won the battle, but the war isn't over yet.
Checkmate, Princess.
Then I suddenly received an ARC (advanced readers copy) of Dear Agony by Georgia Cates from one of her assistants. I have not yet started this as I just received it but I plan to in the next day! This is already released! You can one-click it below!
Synopsis:
Dear Agony,
You've been my shadow, following me through childhood--filling my days and nights with terror and uncertainty. You cleverly disguised yourself as some form of pain or suffering as I grew into a young woman. We were unwavering companions... until I severed our ties.
I traded homelessness on the streets of New Orleans for a luxurious bed covered by the finest linens.
I traded dumpster diving for dinner in the finest restaurants.
I traded myself to a stranger-- Bastien Pascal.
I have a good life within my platonic and mutually beneficial companionship with Bash.
He's my friend. My mentor. My roommate.
Until everything changes.
I'm not supposed to get goosebumps when his hand brushes my skin.
I'm not supposed to be eager for his soothing touch following one of my nightmares.
I'm not supposed to think about what might happen if I reached out to him in the darkness.
Falling in love with him? Preposterous... unavoidable.
Agony, why are you back with a vengeance to rob me of this life I've come to love so dearly?
I'm finally happy. Don't ruin this for me.
Always yours,
Rose
THEN... I received an ARC from Calia Read for her upcoming release, Figure Eight. I am only one chapter into this. This does not release until March. 12th.
Blurb:
Dear Selah,
Do you remember me?
Of course you don't. So I'm going to give you a refresher course.
I've known you for years and years. We used to have beautiful conversations. There was no one that knew you better than me. We were handmade for each other.
Lately, it's become achingly obvious you're miserable. You've moved back home to take care of your ailing mother. You've been looking for a new job, but that's not going well. Admit it: it's all too much.
Everyone around you sees your suffering, but they're not willing to help you.
Everyone but Jackson.
He comes into your life at the perfect moment and offers you everything you could want: a shoulder to lean on, love, and most importantly, hope.
But there's no one that can compare to me. You seem to forget that I'm your figure 8. Your infinity. You try to run, but I will always find you.
Yours Truly,
Figure 8
You can check any one of these out, Figure Eight not until March. 12th. But watch for reviews to come in the next couple of weeks!
Happy Reading!
