**Blogger's note: I received an early copy from the publishers in exchange for an honest review.**

I am saddened to write this review because this is the lowest rating I have ever given a Sarah Robinson book... especially a book in this series!

It took me a while to get through this book, some of it had to do with the Holidays and being busy and getting married but mostly due to also losing some interest in the book.

I love this series but this one, I have to say, is my least favorite, so far. This one didn't have the impact the others had on me. I feel the storyline fell flat. I like Kane and Nora and I love that we get to see previous characters from the previous books, but they were not my favorite.

The story just didn't do it for me. I feel the relationship was rushed, they rushed into sex when they weren't ready for it and honestly, when the main characters are having sex within the first couple chapters, it is a turn off to me. I love to watch and feel the build-up and that just didn't happen with Kane and Nora, which disappointed me. They let the physical attraction takeover. I didn't care for the major sex scene 11% in, it took away from the build-up of the story, which caused a major slow down halfway through the story, which caused me to lose interest.

The ending I enjoyed. It was a nice conclusion, but still, it wasn't anything like the previous books. It lacked surprise and excitement. It really hurts my heart to say that! But that isn't going to stop me from continuing this series. I love these books and Sarah is a sweetheart. I am really looking forward to Quinn's story! He is not a fighter, so he is going to be a bit different from his older brothers. I am excited to read his story!

3 sad owls.
