Pretty Stolen Dolls by Ker Dukey & K. Webster | Review
Synopsis:
Benny loves his pretty little dolls.
As long as they do exactly as they're told.
He keeps them perfect by brushing their hair
and gives them pretty dresses to wear.
He likes to toy with them late at night.
One so timid but the other likes to fight.
When his favorite doll runs away...
despite the other doll promising to stay,
his heart becomes broken and he can't help but cry.
He wants her back home or his pretty little doll must die.
Have you ever had to make a decision that haunts you every single day for the rest of your life... the light you stole back?
I have.
I ran for my survival, rocks and twigs cutting into the soles of my feet, my lungs burning and screaming for rest, every muscle tensed and fighting along with me for existence.
I left her.
I ran, ran, ran- from Benny and his lone, pretty little doll- until I couldn't remember where to find them again.
I'm sorry.

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of your seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles... prepare for the unexpected.
I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bedtime stories with my sisters growing up.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.
When I'm not lost in the world of characters, I love spending time with my family. I'm a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time, I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

My Review:
I must say, before I saw anyone talk about this book, I noticed it by it's cover. The cover is very eye catching and to be honest, it looks like it can be a disturbing read, which it is. So I am warning you now, if you don't like books with VERY MUCH adult content, if you are looking for a happy, loving book, look the other way.
Now, there is some romance, LOTS of sex, but this novel is not a normal HEA. Plus, it does leave you on a cliffhanger because there is a second book, which just released, as some of you many already know.
This book is crazy. It is tense and some parts are pretty gory. Jade and her sister go through hell. What Jade goes through is not pretty and some things happened while I read this book that scared the shit out of me. This book is also very suspenseful, erotic, edge of your seat, it grips you and refuses to let go until the end. I really enjoyed this read and I am currently reading book two.
All in all, it was a nice difference from what I normally read, I love the suspenseful, not knowing part, the mystery, it grabbed a hold of me. If it weren't for the Holiday and work getting in the way, I would have finished this book three days prior. I have no doubt this book will grab you and hold you captive, just like one of Benny's Pretty Little Dolls.
