Saving A Legend: A Kavanagh Legend Series by Sarah Robinson | Review

His family's gym has produced a roster of mixed martial arts legends, but so far Kieran Kavanagh hasn't followed in their footsteps. After a brawl lands him in jail, Kieran is assigned to work at a center for at-risk youth. Though given a second chance, Kieran's simply going through the motions--until he meets one very special kid, Shea Doherty, and falls hard for the very beautiful, very grown-up big sister, Fiona. The trouble is, Kieran's best opening moves are getting him nowhere fast.

Fiona Doherty has too many responsibilities to fool around, especially now that she has custody of Shea. Sure, she'd love to find a devoted partner. But she won't jeopardize her sister's happiness--or risk revealing her tortured past--on a love-'em and-leave-'em type of guy like Kieran... so it's up to him to prove her wrong. As Fiona spends more time with Kieran, she starts to see a softer side of the reckless warrior. Now she must admit that when it comes to the possibility of real love, well... there's a fighting chance.

I read and reviewed the first book in this series last September and fell in love. I was left in a book hangover from Rory and Clare. Just when I thought the series couldn't get better, it did. Kieran and Fiona! I loved their story. They had a rough one, and I was like 'Holy Shit,' a lot. But Kieran has a huge heart and you watch it grow for both Fiona and Shea.

He was a troubled soul as a young adult and it got him into taking a long time out, giving him time to think about what he wants to do with his life. When he meets Fiona, his whole world changes... But skeletons are thrown from their closets in untimely fashion and shit hits the fan. My one and only problem was at first it seemed kind of instalovey, but that changed pretty quickly. I loved watching these two characters grow! And I loved reading about the other characters I was first introduced to in Breaking A Legend

Sarah Robinson really put her heart into this novel, you can see it in each word written, blood, sweat and tears. Your heart will break once or twice for these two characters who are just trying to live their lives when the unexpected happens. Just warning you now.

What more can I say, I freaking loved Kieran and Fiona's story. I might even have enjoyed it more than Rory and Clare. There is just something about Kieran, he grabbed ahold of me and didn't let go. I have a feeling each book in this series will top the last. Sarah is just that talented. She was born to be a storyteller.

Becoming A Legend, the third book in the Kavanagh Legends series is now available for preorder on all ebook platforms and don't forget to add it to your Goodreads TBR
