Fire & Ice by Jessica Prince | Review

**Blogger Note: I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.**

We are introduced to Pepper and Griffin in The Shattered Colors Series, Love Hate Relationship.

This story follows Pepper O'Malley and her relationship with Griffin Locklaine, NYPD officer, cousin to her best friends fiance, and best friend to her big brother, fellow NYPD officer Dex O'Malley.

Pepper meets Griffin at the young age of twelve, when Dex and Griffin are in their first year of college. There is where she discovers love. Throughout her teen years, she goes through many changes, as any teen does, and Griffin is there to witness it all.

At the age of twenty-one, Pepper is on her own, living in NYC, when she opens her own clothing store, Fire & Ice. The night of the grand-opening was a huge part of her life and where her journey with Griffin officially begins.

When I heard Jessica was writing Pepper's story, I was so excited. I am still excited for book two in this little spin-off series. I know you are probably wondering why I rated it only three stars. I have my reasons. I love Pepper, love the character, but I feel like something was missing. Throughout the whole book I felt that way. And as I was reading, it was predictable! I knew what was going to happen. I know, I need to be slapped! And I HATE saying this about Jessica Prince! I never have rated her books this low, but I didn't feel as connected to Pepper and Griffin as I have to past characters.

That is just my feelings with these two characters, if you haven't read Jessica Prince before, you might feel completely different. This book is funny, witty and Pepper is KICK-ASS! She is a feisty redhead who loves oatmeal creme pie! Don't mess with her oatmeal creme pies! I love that she is a female character not afraid to shove her face after a rough day. That is the act of a real woman!

Again, Jessica had me laughing! She writes the best romantic-comedy's! I look forward to the next Locklaine story!
