Curvy by Alexa Riley | Review

Synopsis:

The first time Flynn Long sees her, she's lying on a bed in lingerie. The picture is soft, just like her curves, and instantly he's obsessed.

Cali Carr is at the end of her full-figure modeling career when she's hired for a new campaign. But when the owner of the company steps out of the shadows and starts calling the shots, a job is the last thing it feels like.

So, I picked this up on a whim. I have heard a lot of things lately about this author and wanted to try her out. Now, this story is a novella, it is a short story rounding in about 100 pages. The author has a sexy style and it is about time an author writes a female lead that isn't perfect, with a perfect body, skinny size two women. Alexa's female character is curvy, hinted by the title of this novella. This women isn't perfect and she isn't ashamed of it. I loved that about this book!

But......

I found this whole story to be so unreal! I get that it was a short story, but everything just happened so fast and the way it happened is just not real life. The way things move along in this book just isn't realistic! No one falls in love with a women from one look at a picture. Insta-love isn't a strong enough word to phrase the meaning of this extremely fast paced novella.

The sex scenes were hot but nothing really any different from what I have read in other books. The sex has a little more of a BDSM feel to it but nothing like Fifty Shades.

I give this novella three stars just simply for the fact that it was so unrealistic. But it doesn't stop me from wanting to pick up more from this author.
