Breaking A Legend by Sarah Robinson | Review

**Blogger Note: I received this book from the publishers in exchange for an honest review**

Rory Kavanagh is notorious for this moves in and outside the ring. He is known for being in the spotlight… Becoming the legend in his family’s gym, his younger brothers looking up to him.
But when a gruesome injury takes him out of the ring, he finds himself battling some serious demons, not knowing what to do with his life… The only life he knew was inside the ring.

When Clare, a tough,  young, beautiful new faces pops up in Woodlawn, he is taken back. As he tries to squirm his way into her heart, he realizes that maybe there is more to life than just living inside a ring. But Clare has demons of her own and she doesn’t think she will ever be ready to tell anyone her real reason for just suddenly popped up in Woodlawn, a place where there are rarely any new faces.

This book took me by surprise. I loved it! It isn’t like normal boxer, fighter novels like I have read. It isn’t all about the fights and matches. This story is about Rory and Clare finding each other and fighting their demons with the help of each other.

Rory and Clare have an attraction for one another, no doubt but their demons hold them back from moving on with their lives. They both have bad pasts and are standoffish around people. They have built walls around themselves to protect them but when those walls start to fall, they see their true selves in the reflection of each other’s eyes. Rory has some serious problems post gruesome injury and his family doesn’t know how serious it is. Clare takes notice of this and confronts him about his problem.

I freaking loved this book! Once I started reading it I couldn’t stop! I had to make myself stop to make dinner and clean. Honestly I didn’t want to rush through this book because I didn’t want to end and by the time I did finish it I wish I had book two!

I loved how it ended. I was sad to see it end but what an excellent execution! Everything wrapped up perfectly! There were no loose ends. Even though I wanted more of Rory and Clare and I want to see their future together, there wasn’t anything I was questioning at the end. Sarah nailed the ending! I am SO excited for the next book and I hope to read more about Rory and Clare in the future!

This book left me in a serious book slump! The worst I have had in a long time! I don’t doubt that this book will be a hit!
