K. Larsen | Jezebel Signing

I had an amazing time today at the K. Larsen Jezebel signing at Bodacious Books and Baubles. I went to the early signing and since it was a Sunday, no one wanted to be there at 11am, so I was the only one there with my fiance and K and her husband.

It was really cool because we got to just sit there and talk and not have to rush. We talked about our families, where we grew up, the schools we went to. Our favorite books and movies and how we felt old because the movies we loved as kids were now like 20 years old.

We talked about upcoming releases in the Indie world and signings we were excited for. I felt bad because I haven't read Jezebel yet, so K couldn't talk about it with me. I've been dying to read it and it is next on my list. But we had an awesome time. It was relaxing and no pressure.

Check out this author! Like her Facebook page and follow her every where you can. She is an awesome author and an even better person. She was so fun to talk to!

Here are a couple reviews!

Jezebel, for me, was not only this years most mind bending read it was also my most amazing read so far. It will be very hard to top it. This book was such a mind altering experience. I felt I knew what was coming but I was in no way prepared for the truth of it, the reality of it. K. Larsen had me clutching my kindle, eyes wide as I stare at the last words on the page. She has written a tour de force!! One I will never forget.

Jezebel is a story within a story. Annabel, a spoilt rich teen forced to do probational work at a retirement home, meets a feisty exciting and mysterious woman named Jezebel there with a love story that was so enthralling to tell Annabel kept coming back for more. Jezebel tells the story of Celeste and her love Gabriel in Paris from 1984.

During the telling of the story these two become ever closer, and Jezebel makes Annabel look at her life rather than sleep walk through it. She makes her want to live it. K. Larsen has written such an expressive and vivid novel in her details as well as her characters. Becoming emotionally attached to them is a must. Jezebel is unlike all of her other novels, it stands out in its brilliance. I would give it many more stars if I could. This book will twist you up, spit you out and you will love K. Larsen for it. I very highly recommend it!!
**I was given a copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for my honest and fair review

HOLY ****! This book completely blindsided me in the best and most twisted way ever. I am STILL sitting here stunned and in disbelief.

Jezebel is two stories woven together into one. The first is about Annabelle, her broken family, and the friendship she develops with Jezebel while serving community service at an assisted living facility. The other is the story Jezebel shares with Annabelle during her visits—a friend’s love story set in Paris in the 1980s.

Jezebel has many of the elements in a book that I love. There’s romance, angst, suspense, and it’s definitely unpredictable. Yet, the way Larsen crafted this story is unique and not even close to what I was expecting. It’s truly hard to talk about without feeling like I’m going to give something away. You truly need to go into this blind and experience it on your own.

Jezebel took me on an emotional ride and totally blew my mind! It’s one of the best books I’ve read all year.
