Discussion: Magazines | Articles in ratio to Ads

I picked up this magazine just last night at my local Stop & Shop.

I haven't bought a Cosmo in long time and I was in the lane getting ready to cash out when I was checking out the magazines, like most normal people in the grocery store. So I decided to pick up the latest Cosmo.

Later on I was sitting in my room while the boy was in the living room playing video games. I had F R I E N D S playing on Netflix when I decided to flip open my Cosmo and let me tell you, I was not too happy.

About the first 50 pages were all ads! I use to buy Cosmo because I loved the articles but now it is all about how to please your man or how to give a women an orgasm. I mean, I am all for teaching and learning new bedroom tips, we can all use it sometimes, and if you say you don't, then you are lying to yourself. But this magazine is nothing like it use to be.

I paid $4.99 for this magazine to see the same thing I see on TV and at a higher cost. Cosmo use to be $3.99. Maybe it is just me, but I was just disappointed. I was looking forward to reading a good article. I would love to write a monthly book review for them, give this magazine a little face lift.

I ended up stopping about halfway through, so I don't know what the rest of this magazine holds, but I will do an update when I finish. Maybe there will be a good article in there somewhere.
