Sweet Thing by Renee Carlino
Sweet Thing Review:
Sweet Thing centers around Mia... A young women from Ann Arbor who just lost her father and finds herself moving to New York to take over his cafe Kell's.
On her flight to New York, she is seated next to a young man with a guitar and a major fear of flying! They instantly click and a bond forms. When he ends up at Kell's looking for a bigger place to live on the local board, she finds not wanting to be alone and invites him to stay with her.
When she hears him play guitar and then finally hears him sing, she melts for him completely. Growing up playing the piano, music being a huge part of her life, it hits her hard. She finds his musical talent irresistible. But the fear of letting him know how she really feels scares her away from the truth.
I loved this book. I loved Will, I loved Mia. They just clicked instantly. They are truly like each others missing puzzle pieces. But it does become a little frustrating at times and I had to stop reading because Mia pissed me off. She can be hot and cold at times. She becomes so afraid of her feeling that instead of telling Will the true, who you can blatantly see is in love with her, she runs from her feelings until it's too late.
This book has a lot of cute factors. Will and his family! When Mia gets hurt and Will has to take care of her. I really found myself laughing in the middle of the night. You will laugh and cry throughout this book, it's almost like you can hear your own heart breaking for them at times.
This was my first read by this author and I loved it! This author has become an instant one-clicker for me. I will be reading more of her books very soon.
Renee Carlino writing is very sweet and soft. She was a nice breath of fresh air!
