Synopsis:

They don't play for the same team. Or do they?

Jamie Canning has never been able to figure out how he lost his closest friend. Four years ago, his tattooed, wise-cracking, rule-breaking roommate cut him off without an explanation. So what if things got a little weird on the last night of hockey camp the summer they were eighteen? It was just a little drunken foolishness. Nobody died.

Ryan Wesley's biggest regret is coaxing his very straight friend into a bet that pushed the boundaries of their friendship. Now, with their college teams set to face off at the national championship, he'll finally get a chance to apologize. But all it takes is one look at his longtime crush, and the ache is stronger than ever.

Jamie has waited a long time for answers, but walks away with only more questions-- can one night of sex ruin a friendship? If not, how about six more weeks of it? When Wesley turns up to coach alongside Jamie for one more hot summer at camp, Jamie has a few things to discover about his old friend... and a big one to learn about himself.

My Review:

Holy crap guys! I buddy read this back in November with my book besties, Amber from Book Obsessed Book Blog and Amanda from Once Upon A Book Dream. Amanda had been saying for a while that we needed to read this and we did and I am so glad that we finally did because hot damn, I could not stop reading this once I started. It is that addicting!

It was my first MM romance and it won't be my last and I am beyond happy that Jamie and Wes was my MM romance cherry popper because I do not lie when I say I loved this book, I loved these characters, everyone needs some Jamie and Wes in their life! Not just some, ALL! I honestly don't know why I waited so long to read this book. *Forehead slap*

The hubs and I were out on a Saturday night running errands when I decided to start listening to the audiobook in the car. I had already owned HIM on my Kindle and on audio, so I started listening in the car, wanting to start a new book, and yes, I made my husband listen along, ha! I can remember pulling in to Home Depot, we were going in to look at some paint, because we have been painting, slowly but surely, painting our apartment, when I didn't want to stop the book, but I had to. As soon as we left Home Depot that book was back on blasting through the speaks of the car. We had some dinner and went home.

By the time we got home, I want to say I was already like 25% in. I had stopped before we went home for a coffee, so I pulled up my Book Beau Bean, my coffee, turned on our electric heater, put a movie on, made cozy on the chair and picked HIM up where I left off on the audio. Oh, holy shit, I almost forgot about this part. It was Daylight Saving and I completely forgot. It hit 2am on the east coast and I legit watched my Kindle move back to 1am! I read for a whole other hour! By the time I went to bed that night, I was like 75% done and I did not want it to end!

***I knew I had a picture or a video of the night I started reading this book. Click the link, I am so glad I saved it on my Instagram under the Cozy highlight!***

This review is more of a story, but reading this book is a story in of its own. It was excellent and such a fun time. The timing in which we read this book was perfect, the atmosphere, I guess you can say this was one book in which we read at the perfect timing, making the experience that much better. People say that happens and it did with HIM. Plus having my girls there to send video messages to gushing about Jamie and Wes, it was such a fun experience. And yes, I said gush, because that's what you will do when you read Jamie and Wes's story, you will GUSH! Just like I did because it is that damn good!

We plan on buddy reading US very soon! We have yet to read US because of the holidays and all of three of us are reviewers, so we had ARCs. Time got away since we read HIM. But very soon we will be picking up US and I CANNOT wait! When we start it, I'll be posting on my Instagram. But I hope everyone read this book! It is amazing, Jamie and Wes are everything! I am almost afraid to read US because I don't want it to end. Sarina and Elle, we need more of Jamie and Wes, so give us more!

5+++ stars!
