My Mystic Author Signing Trip | June. 13th, 2015
I was in Mystic, Connecticut all day for my second Author Signing of the year!
I went with my mother-in-law, her best friend Rosanne and her daughter Tiffany. We got on the road at 9am... I thought we would hit traffic going through Hartford but we didn't... We arrived in Mystic at 10:30 and since we had some time before the signing started, we decided to hit the plaza across the street and do some shopping.
At 11:45 I walked into the signing with my mother-in-law. We got right in and started hitting the tables. This was my mother's first signing, she loves to read but she has never done anything like going to a signing. The very first table we hit, she starts talking to the author, asking her questions about her books. My mother isn't big into romance novels, she likes some paranormal and mystery, so this author was perfect for her. On the table there are a bunch of things that the author was giving out for free; bookmarks, postcards, you know, stuff like that. My mother looks at these foil wrapped things with the authors sticker on them, she picks on up and asks the author if they are wet-wipes. The author says, "No, they are condoms." My mother-in-law screams and drops it back on the table. I never laughed so hard in my life! She did not expect that.
We hit all the tables. I bought a lot of books. I saw some authors that I met at the North Shore Signing. I had an amazing time and was happy to see some of the best authors I know.

After the signing, we went to get something to eat, we ate at the Mystic Diner... It was really good. After that we went into downtown and walked the main strip. It was beautiful! I hadn't been down to Mystic since I was a kid, I forgot how much I loved it.
